You walk into a room and see someone talking.... And then it hits you, you have experienced this moment before! I am sure that allot of us have been in such a situation. However, there is a scientific explanation for this too! Many scientists believe that this is some sort of a short circuit or a malfunction in our brain. Theory #1: There are many theories surrounding this phenomenon. The first one revolves around the concept of familiarity. The fact that the brain might confuse it with something that we are familiar with instead of something that we remember distinctly. Theory # 2: 🔬 The other theory is about delay processing in the brain! The fact that the brain might process the signal twice, hence making us feel like we have seen or experienced the situation before. Overall, the cause of Déjà Vu is still disputed upon. With many scientific theories trying to back it up, it is still something that science needs to completely decode. Anyways that's all for today! Com...
5 Science Myths:🌿
Science is truly an interesting discipline with many fascinating facts.....
However, allot of misinformation is spread on the internet and today we are going to debunk some myths
1) We Only Use 10% of the Brain
- That statement itself is utterly wrong, and science itself denies of it. Brain scans show that we virtually, use almost every part of the brain. Each part of the brain has an individual function. The 10% brain usage myth is pure fiction.
2) You should drink 8 glasses of water everyday
- That´s a myth, everybody is unique in their own way based on: gender, height, age or weight. Therefore, the amount of water that needs to be consumed varies greatly from person to person.
3) Sugar makes kids hyper
- Allot of people associate sugar with boosted activity and extraordinary energy. This is wrong as multiple studies have shown that their is no link between sugar and hyperactivity. The excitement is often situational and not caused by sugar.
4) Humans have 5 senses.
- Now, I know we have learned about this since, childhood
. the sense of hearing
. the sense of smell
. the sense of taste
. the sense of touch
. the sense of sight
- However, scientist think so otherwise, scientists believe that humans have a wide array of sense ranging from balance to body position (Almost 9-20 ). The human body is more complex than what we have been told about since children.
5) Goldfish have a 3-second memory 📆
- Well.... surprise surprise they do not .
- Scientist believe that goldfish often remember things for months. Therefore, they can learn tricks or strategies.
